My sister lives in a place of striking beauty, with soaring mountains and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. She recently wrote this after opening her door one morning and witnessing the handiwork of God.
I open up the door -
A tapestry of purple, orange and red,
A visible reminder
Of the glory of the day that lies ahead -
A lovely gift.
He calls me to His side,
To hear His whisperings of love and grace.
I’m grounded by His goodness,
And find comfort by small glimpses of His face -
A perfect gift.
I see Him in my day,
Through care that is exchanged with those I love -
The blessing of the Giver,
Who finds pleasure as He pours out from above,
His perfect gifts.
I see Him as He moves,
To order every detail of my way
And work things all together
In His time, and for His purposes each day.
Another gift.
I cannot see ahead,
But trust His Shepherd Hand to ever lead.
He promised to be with me,
And to bring me to that place where I will see,
His greatest gifts.
And so I walk with Him,
Aware of all His goodness shown to me.
So grateful for each treasure;
The breath He gives and eyes to finally see,
He is the Gift.

I was not aware of all His doings, until He opened my eyes to see what He had done. He is our strong deliverer! 'grandma' Jeanne
